"Explore and Discover Workshop," April 29, 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

AETN Arkansas STEM Girls in partnership with NWA Fab Lab will host a workshop for middle school girls, 4th - 7th grade.

An important goal for Arkansas is to increase the participation of women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by expanding the engagement of girls in STEM subjects using both formal and informal environments. Arkansas STEM Girls, provides workshops and special events to engage, educate, and inspire girls to pursue STEM careers. The Northwest Arkansas Fab Lab is a place where students, problem solvers and entrepreneurs can make their ideas come to life using tools like 3D printers and laser engravers.

The event takes place at the NWA Fab Lab (21 W. Mountain St., Ste.123, Garden Level, Fayetteville, AR 72702.) Class size is limited.

Liability Waiver and Photo Release

I hereby grant permission for my child to participate in the AETN Youth Academy, presented by Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN). I am aware of the possibility of accidental or other physical injury during this event. In consideration of participating in the AETN Youth Academy, I do hereby agree to assume all risks of such injury and will hold harmless from any liability, actions, causes of action, claims and demands of every kind of nature whatsoever which I now have or which may arise of or in connection with any participation in activities arranged by AETN, its employees, staff and volunteers. The terms herein shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for my heirs, minors. I have agreed to the conditions stated above.

I hereby give my consent to Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) to photograph, film, videotape and then use, reproduce, and publish said images of my child/children in connection to the AETN Youth Academy. I agree that photographs, film, or videotapes thereof shall constitute the sole property of AETN with full right of disposition in any manner whatsoever, including the right to publish in print, online or on air. I hereby release AETN and their legal representatives and assigns from any and all claims whatsoever in connection with the use, reproduction, publication of the images thereof.
