Mr. Rogers jams some great lessons for all ages

Check out this Mister Rogers remix by Symphony of Science’s John Boswell for PBS Digital Studios of the familiar from our childhood and the hip of today.  Lessons of kindness, being a good neighbor, and showing respect never get old and should always be practiced no matter what our age.  Cardigans never looked so cool.  Tune in to this digital funkalicious shout out to our favorite t.v. neighbor.
I was asked today if I thought Fred Rogers was like the man he plays on t.v.  From what I have been told of him from those who have met him, Rogers believed in not acting out a different persona on camera compared to how he acted off camera, stating "One of the greatest gifts you can give anybody is the gift of your honest self. I also believe that kids can spot a phony a mile away."

I’m not sure you can fake a Mr. Rogers.  But you can try really hard...here, we'll help.  If you want to learn the words to some of our favorite neighbor’s songs, you can find the lyrics, sheet music and the audio versions to host your own sing-a-long.

Teachers, parents, kids…did you think Mr. Rogers is on a little vacation?  Guess again – you can watch full episodes, download teachables, printing sheets and learn so much about living life the Fred Rogers way
