"The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas" Contest

Posted on 03 Dec 2013

It's already December and, to celebrate, we're glad to air "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas" on Friday, Dec. 13, and Tuesday, Dec. 24. The blockbuster hit returns for a special journey with Cat, Nick and Sally has they take a trip around the world to help a lost reindeer find his way home to Freezeyourknees Snowland in time for Christmas … but that's not our biggest news!

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 3, we want to celebrate the season with your family. Tell us about your gang's favorite Christmas or winter holiday memory in the comments section at the base of this blog post. We'll be reading your stories and registering each commenter for a Cat-tastic AETN Christmas Contest Giveaway! On Thursday, Dec. 16, we'll choose one of our lucky commenters to win their very own DVD copy of "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas" right in time to wrap it up for the holiday.

"The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas" - on top of providing top-notch whimsical fun - takes kids on a fun problem-solving journey that explores a range scientific topics as Nick, Sally and Cat rely on the remarkable abilities of a variety of amazing animals - from African bush elephants to bottlenose dolphins to crabs - to help them guide their lost reindeer friend home. The holiday special - and "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That" as a whole - are designed to help support young children's science learning by introducing scientific inquiry skills, teaching core science concepts and vocabulary, and prepping kids for kindergarten and first grade science curriculum in fabulous, Seussian style.
