Don't hurt the ones you love

"Telling Amy's Story," a documentary that chronicles the tragic death of a domestic violence victim, will premiere on AETN tonight at 7 p.m.

A live call-in domestic violence crisis hotline will immediately follow the program at 8.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, please call 800-662-2386 between 8 and 9 p.m. Domestic Violence experts, detectives and shelter representatives will be on hand to take your call and give you the help you not only need but are entitled to.

One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence but domestic violence isn't just limited to women--many men are also victims.

It's easy to say "why don't you just leave?" but the dynamic of a relationship isn't that simple. Many victims feel helpless with no where to turn or they may even feel as if they deserve it--all because of the wear of verbal abuse from the attacker.

 But noone deserves it.

So if you know someone or if you yourself are a victim, please visit www.aetn.org/domesticviolence or call 800-662-2386 to find helpful resources and talk to someone who can help.

Arkansas and the American Dream

AETN continues to address poverty in the state with “A Deeper Look: The American Dream in Arkansas” and to survey the national landscape with “Dream On.” Learn more about these projects and a special night of programming after the jump.
