FREE Adam Faucett and The Tall Grass Concert April 17
Posted on 11 Apr 2014
Adam Faucett - hailed as “one of the greatest, most thoughtful lyricists the state has to offer” by the Arkansas Times - is joining The Tall Grass (Johnny D. on bass and Will Boyd on drums) for a concert in AETN studios on Thursday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. If you’re in the mood for music described as “part folk, part blues, part elemental rock stomp, part unidentifiable cosmic holler,” (Arkansas Democrat Gazette), it’s going to be a fantastic show!
A Little Rock musician, Faucett has drawn comparisons from Tim Buckley to Cat Power to Otis Redding, and presents outstanding lyrics and a unique sound we can’t wait to feature. Faucett began performing solo in 2006 and now tours nationally and internationally; performance highlights included tours with Jason Isbell, Damien Jurado, Chuck Ragan and Lucero.
Need more reasons not to miss this great, free show? For the past two years, Adam has toured in support of celebrated third release, “More Like a Temple” - which enjoyed rave reviews from Amerian Songwriter, Paste Magazine, No Depression and Uprooted Music Review, and landed at No. 14 on the EuroAmericana chart.
So … about the free part? The public is invited to join us for the concert for no charge, just be sure to arrive at AETN Studios (350 S. Donaghey Ave. in Conway) by 6:30 p.m. We’re taping the show for broadcast during the new season of “AETN Presents,”
and will have to close the doors to control for light and environmental sounds!
