“Healing Minds. Changing Attitudes.: Holiday Blues”

The holiday season is a joyous time, but it can also bring about stress, anxiety and sadness, commonly referred to as the holiday blues.

If that sounds familiar, or you recognize these symptoms in a loved one, be sure to join us and host Pamela Smith for a special edition of “Healing Minds. Changing Attitudes.” on Monday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 p.m. or watch online now at aetn.org/programs/healingminds.

In the program, we’ll join expert guests to learn how to recognize the signs of the Holiday Blues, manage its effects and determine the difference between “the blues” and clinical depression.

Panelists include: Nihit Kumar, M.D., child and adolescent and addiction psychiatrist, UAMS, and president of NAMI Arkansas; Tiffany Haynes, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and assistant professor for the College of Public Health at UAMS; Joyce Wesley, LCSW, director of psychological health, Arkansas Army National Guard; and Ruth Trowbridge, NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group facilitator and state trainer.
