Healthy Eating Campaign Event - Whole Foods Little Rock, Sept. 27
Posted on 10 Sep 2013
Let's face it. Getting kids to eat what they should can be … tough. Sometimes, they want what they want - and they're pretty emphatic about it!
Depending on the age and stage, "what they want" can be good stuff - like brussel sprouts - or a demand for a steady diet of cereal, chicken and mac-n-cheese.
So what can you do to turn the tide? We're big believers that (along with the good parenting skills you're already practicing) a little creativity and food fun go a long way! To help out on that note, we have great news …
In partnership with Little Rock Whole Foods, we're supporting the PBS Whole Foods Healthy Eating Campaign with an exciting, kid-focused event from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27! There, we'll share fun info about healthy eating, go on an in-store scavenger hunt to win prizes and have opportunities for everyone to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog. You'll also have the chance to try out a ton of fun activities from "Peg+Cat," our newest preschool math program that joins the PBS Kids line-up this October. It's going to be a blast!
Until then, though, there are tons of great ideas and activities you can check out at home. PBS.org/HealthyKids has lots of fun ideas, from games and recipes to tips and tricks, while pbs.org/parents shares great advice and more.
