AETN Art Friday: WoodSongs, Craft In America, Mind of a Chef

Tune in for a genre-jumping AETN Arts Friday, starting Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. New episodes include AETN Presents: On the Front Row With WoodSongs Old-Time Music Hour, Craft In America: Crossroads, and The Mind of a Chefs Rotten and Rene.
Kicking off the night with a new episode of AETN Presents: On the Front Row, were highlighting three performances from the special UALR Public Radio KUAR FM 89.1 production, AETN Presents: On the Front Row With WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour. National Public Radios (NPR) WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour is a weekly showcase for American musicians that combines performances and interviews. It was a great performance and experience for Arkansas musicians and were proud to bring selected performances right directly to your home tonight at 6:30 p.m.! The impressive thirty-minute mini-concert features youthful bluegrass upstarts Blue Rain, fiddle champion Tim Crouch, and young bluesman and harmonica-phenom Nathan A. Each talented musician delivers his own exciting interpretation of Arkansas roots music, providing a night of toe-tapping night of local music.
At 9 p.m., a new program, Craft In America: Crossroads, takes on a nationwide exploration of the artists, origins and techniques of American craft. As we travel the country, well see America as a series of crossroads: a country where crafts evolve from global influences in the exciting intersections between modern technology and handmade.
Finally, at 10 and 10:30 p.m., well rejoin David Chang and Anthony Bourdain for two new episodes of The Mind of a Chef. First, well discover how Rotten can actually be, well, delicious! Dishes like katsuibushi, XO sauce, Chef Christina Tosis rotten bananas and kimchi challenge your notions of what it takes for a food to be good. And after your tastebuds have been turned on their heads? In the evenings second episode, well join one of David Changs best friends, the worlds top chef Rene Redzepi, for a night of culinary delights!
