Buddy the T-Rex loves to hang at the Museum for spring break

Buddy the T-Rex from PBS Kids’ “Dinosaur Train” visited the Museum of Discovery Donald W. Reynolds Science Center in Little Rock Monday evening and Tuesday for spring break delighting kids with high fives (as best as those little orange T-Rex arms were able), tail bumps, and big toothy smiles. Photos were taken, new episodes of “Dinosaur Train” were watched in the Museum’s theater and hugs and kisses (and some innocent biting) made for a brilliant day of fun.
More than 1,700 Museum visitors took advantage of a day off during spring break and checked out the newly renovated Museum (and gem of the River Market) Tuesday learning about dinosaurs and viewing the current dinosaur exhibit, the body, checking out the critters, and discovering what it feels like to be in a tornado. This was one week Buddy couldnÂ’t miss.
He even saw a long lost cousin in the crowd....
"Dinosaur Train” embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains. The series encourages basic scientific thinking skills as the audience learns about life science, natural history and paleontology. Even kids older than pre-K (ahem...yes, I mean you big sis) can learn something.
