Posted on 13 Jun 2014

Stop the summer slide and banish the "I'm bored" from your kids' vocabulary with cool crafts and hands-on-learning activities to educate and entertain your kids all summer long with Camp PBS Parents! Each week, www.pbsparents.org/camp will feature new activities, crafts, experiments and more to keep your little darlings busy and learning.

So what do you have to look forward to? We're glad you asked!

Kick off your home summer camp with science learning and reading practice with Adventures in Learning and activities like Nature Match and the co-authored book project!

And you can move on to even more creative expression with Crafts for Kids and fun projects to try like Paper Bag Houses and TP Roll Maracas.

Once you've sampled Camp PBS Parents' ready-to-go projects, flex your own creative muscles, and find tips for riffing on your own activities! The Camp website has great starter topics, like "13 Ways to Sneak Learning Into Summer Fun" and tips for Summer Math Learning and Summer Reading.

Plus, there are all kinds of fun links to help you find free children's e-books, activity books and more on the PBS Parents Camp and the AETN KIDS pages!
