Conservation, technology and math skills, oh my! “The Cyberchase Movie”
— the first ever film for the PBS KIDS
series - is premiering on Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, at 4:30 p.m.
This eco-themed, one-hour special will follow the "Cyberchase" crew — Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit — as they’re called on to reduce the animals and restore harmony to Ecotopia after Hacker and his bumbling robots wreak havoc.
We’re loving this special because - in addition to being entertaining — the program helps kids explore environmental and math topics, like natural habitats, the impact of habitat loss and proportional reasoning!
And, of course, with PBS KIDS
’ outstanding web resources
, "Cyberchase" fun and learning won’t stop with the movie. Online at pbskids.org/cyberchase
there are also three, real-world “Cyberchase” games exploring in the environmental topics of keystone species, waste reduction and solar power.
So, what else can you learn during Earth Month on AETN
and PBS? We’re continuing our annual partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association to encourage families to celebrate nature and the outdoors this spring, and have all sorts of other fun programming and online activities we’ve written about here
… but we have something else up our sleeve! Keep an eye on our blog
and social media outlets for the update.
