Martha's Thanksgiving

Starting Monday, Nov. 19, through December, catch the best holidays specials around - from "Martha Speaks" to "Arthur" and from everyone's favorite curious monkey to that clever Cat - you can get your fill of holiday goodness through PBS KIDS and AETN. PBS KIDS has been named the No. 1 educational media brand and is helping to close the achievement gap for young children. This holiday season, trust your kids to the best.

On Nov. 19, "Martha Speaks" premieres a brand-new, two-part episode "Martha's Thanksgiving." The special Thanksgiving episode will air all week long!  Martha learns that Helen's extended family will be coming for Thanksgiving and decides to search for her own long-lost canine siblings. Tails begin to wag as the family reunites, but where is Martha's mother? In search for her mom, Martha digs into her past to uncover the reason they were separated. Can Martha and her friends solve the mystery and find her mom in time for the family reunion? Tune-in all Thanksgiving as this special episode will be airing all week long.

On November 21, PBS KIDS will premiere the first-ever Cat in the Hat Christmas special, "The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas!" Set to be a new holiday family tradition, this adventure follows the Cat, Nick and Sally on a journey to help a lost reindeer find his way home in time for Christmas.  Kids and parents will explore natural science through new content on-air, online and beyond. The one-hour special premieres on Wednesday, Nov. 21 on PBS KIDS, with encore presentations throughout Thanksgiving weekend and in December.  To grind more fun learning into your kids, check out the companion online game:  In the new online game Freezeyourknees, Follow Me, Please! offers players three levels of game play, each level its own animal-themed “Follow Me” challenge. Grounded in an animal science curriculum, "The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas!" game is available at PBSKIDS.org/catinthehat.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 21, "Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas" tells the heartwarming story of George and the Man with the Yellow Hat as they celebrate the season together. With three all-new holiday songs and other classic Christmas music, "Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas" makes the perfect gift, a must-have for your holiday collection.

On Wednesday, Nov. 21, "Arthur's Perfect Christmas":
Everyone's favorite aardvark gives kids a new spin on seasonal traditions in this one-hour special, showing children many ways to celebrate "the holidays." Plans are underway for the best holidays ever. The only problem is, just like in real life, perfection is hard to attain and things start to fall apart.
