AETNs Minority Matters discusses 2012 election cycle Oct. 28Posted on 13 Nov 2012
CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) The Arkansas Educational Television Networks (AETN) monthly series Minority Matters, which provides a dedicated forum for discussion and exploration of issues affecting Arkansans from a minority perspective, will explore local and national 2012 elections in the next episode, Sunday, Oct. 28, at 4:30 p.m.
Panelists will discuss treatment of minorities by political parties, when Arkansans are likely to elect an African-American to statewide office, and the current political climates effect on minorities.
Sharing their experiences and political expertise will be: Lamar Davis, deputy chief of staff, Arkansas Governors Office; Price Dooley, professor, UCA Department of Political Science; and Malcolm Glover, anchor/reporter, KUAR.
Minority Matters host Sylvester Smith is a local businessman and community leader. Smith publishes the Web-based ink Magazine and serves on the Arkansas Real Estate Commission. He is a graduate of Philander Smith College and earned his MBA at Harding University.
Minority Matters airs the last Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
