Members of retro vocal group Under the Streetlamp to make AETN on-air appearance Aug. 19
CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) Two members of Under the Streetlamp, Americas hottest new vocal group who performs electrifying classic hits from the American radio songbook, will make a special appearance in the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) studios for a live broadcast Sunday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
Exuding the rapport of a modern-day Rat Pack, the quartet recent leading cast members of the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys delivers an evening of unforgettable entertainment. The members of Under the Streetlamp Michael Cunio, Michael Ingersoll, Christopher Kale Jones and Shonn Wiley have been featured on Broadway, in film and on television.
Wiley, a Michigan native who seemingly has stepped out of a classic Hollywood musical, serves as the groups choreographer. Ingersoll, a Dayton, Ohio-born artist and entrepreneur, exudes the sincerity, warmth, and generosity of the rockabilly/rhythm & blues greats. Cunio is the rocker of the group, and his electric vocals have audiences leaping to their feet. Jones, a Hawaiian native, brings an emotive and soulful voice to the quartet. Wiley and Cunio will be visiting the AETN studios on Aug. 19.
Featuring doo-wop, Motown, old time rock n roll and favorite songs from the Drifters, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the Four Seasons and many others, the public television special Under the Streetlamp was recorded at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Ind.
Songs performed include Rock n Roll Is Here to Stay, At Last, Pretty Woman, Sh-Boom, Devil in Disguise, Blue Moon, Twist and Shout, Since I Fell for You and many more, delivered in the inimitable Under the Streetlamp style, with tight harmonies and slick dance moves. Accompanied by a band of seven elite musicians, Under the Streetlamp has packed concert venues across America.
