"Silent Storytellers" is a long-form documentary following the exploits of a group of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the preservation of cemeteries and memorials in Arkansas. While visiting with these people and sampling their interests in cemeteries, we are reminded, or perhaps even introduced, to the reasons why preserving cemeteries is so important to the history and characteristics of our communities, our culture, and our society. Along the way we are also reminded of what is special about the geographical environs in which we find these places, as the documentary takes us on a journey around the state to visit cemeteries known and unknown. This project was funded by a grant from the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program a division of the Arkansas Department of Heritage.
