'Return to Downton Abbey' to air Dec. 1 on AETN

The Academy Award-winning series "Downton Abbey" provides viewers with a special behind-the-scenes episode, "Return to Downton Abbey," Sunday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN). The program will repeat Saturday, Dec. 7, at 9:30 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 27, at 10:30 p.m.

Fans awaiting the Jan. 5 premiere of "Downton Abbey: Season 4" may enjoy interviews with many of the series' most popular actors – including Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Joanne Froggart, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter and Shirley MacLaine – as they discuss favorite moments from earlier seasons, their characters' interactions, life without Matthew and Sibyl, cast camaraderie, costuming and fashion.

The program is structured around three key themes, "The Changing World of Downton Abbey," "The Women of Downton Abbey" and "Love and Other Relationships at Downton Abbey." Series creators Julian Fellowes and Gareth Neame provide an overview and context for the series and the upcoming season, while Rebecca Eaton, "Masterpiece" executive producer, comments on the impact and success of "Downton Abbey" in America. Hosted by devoted fan Susan Sarandon, "Return to Downton Abbey" relives past seasons' highlights and gives audiences exciting hints of what's to come.
