Super Vision App Connects Super Parents & Kids Online

Posted on 13 May 2014

It’s a bird … it’s a plane … it’s Super Vision! PBS KIDS has launched a new, free app that gives parents the “super power” to engage and monitor our kids online like never before. See how this first-of-its-kind tool allows convenient access to see what kids are watching, playing and learning on pbskids.org anytime, anywhere.

This connected web experience lets us remotely see what kids are learning in PBS KIDS games and videos, manage time on the PBS KIDS site and build on that learning away from the screen through real-time updates, educational tips and activity ideas that are related to our kids’ interests.

With the PBS KIDS Super Vision App, all you’ll need to do is enter a simple code on your mobile device to start getting:

  • Real-time info about what your child is playing, watching and learning on pbskids.org
  • The ability to remotely set a Play Timer from your mobile device that will put pbskids.org to sleep on their child’s screen, easing the transition from playing online to another activity, such as dinner time or bed time
  • Related activities from PBS Parents that you can do with kiddos off-screen to extend the fun and learning goals of the games or videos your little one plays on pbkkids.org
  • An activity summery to see the top educational skills, shows, videos and games your kids are using on the PBS KIDS site.

New features will be added as we go along, and PBS is looking for parents to offer suggestions for what they should be and how existing features can be improved! After you check the app out, be sure to voice your ideas using the hashtag #SuperVisionPBSKIDS (details at pbskids.org/supervision).

So, ready to check it out? Zoom on over to AppStore.com/PBSKIDS.
