Cabot High School finished as runners up in the 7A conference finals of the Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition Quiz Bowl Sunday, April 20, against Little Rock Central. The final score was 315 to 230. The team includes: Michael Godsey, Grace Coggins, Ralph Bellamy, Coach Daniel Fleming; Marshall Butler, MVP David Myers, Cody Dulaney and Captain Jason Haynes. The Arkansas Educational Television Network has hosted and aired the live competition since 1985. Students were challenged with difficult questions in literature, math, science, history, art, music and economics. This year, the top two teams from each of the seven conferences advanced to the State Conference Finals, resulting in seven champions.
