Haas Hall Academy claimed the 1A conference title in the Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition Quiz Bowl Sunday, April 20, against LISA Academy. The final score was 300 to 215. The team includes: Coach Paul Wolf, Alyssa Draper, Captain and MVP Levi Foster, Matthew Heckmann; Kraege Mabie, T. Gideon Keas and David Joseph. The Arkansas Educational Television Network has hosted and aired the live competition since 1985. Students were challenged with difficult questions in literature, math, science, history, art, music and economics. This year, the top two teams from each of the seven conferences advanced to the State Conference Finals, resulting in seven champions.
