Parkview High School claimed the 6A conference title in the Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition Quiz Bowl Saturday, April 19, against Benton. The final score was 210 to 200. The team includes: Seemaab Ali, Max Roy, Silas Altheimer; Coach Judy Warren, John Sykes and Mason Allen. The Arkansas Educational Television Network has hosted and aired the live competition since 1985. Students were challenged with difficult questions in literature, math, science, history, art, music and economics. This year, the top two teams from each of the seven conferences advanced to the State Conference Finals, resulting in seven champions.
