AETN Arts Fridays: Pam Tillis and Comedian John Leguizamo
This star-studded AETN Arts Fridays is anything but unlucky! Grammy Award-winning country music artist Pam Tillis performs on AETN Presents: On the Front Row at 6:30 p.m. Then, one of the industrys most versatile actors, comedian and playwright John Leguizamo, takes you behind the scenes of his one man show in PBS Arts John Leguizamos Tales from a Ghetto Klown at 9 p.m.
In AETN Presents: On the Front Row With Pam Tillis, the two-time Grammy Award-winning country star performs an array of her greatest hits, including a medley of Spilled Perfume, Let That Pony Run and All the Good Ones Are Gone, in an intimate concert at the Bull Shoals Theatre of the Arts. Described as a survivor and a pioneer for a new breed of female country stars, Pam Tillis delivers a rousing performance that directly evidences her hard work. The 6:30 p.m. performance also features songs from Tillis newest album, Its All Relative, which she created as a tribute to her father, Mel Tillis.
At 9 p.m., the third installment in the PBS Summer Arts Festival 2012, John Leguizamos Tales From a Ghetto Klown, profiles the award-winning actor and playwright John Leguizamos unorthodox rise to success. As is often the case, however, maintaining ones success can be nearly as difficult as achieving it, and audiences are invited behind the scenes to watch Leguizamos struggles to mount his latest one-man show on Broadway. For the fifth time in his career, the respected actor and all-around funnyman has chosen to share tales from his life screw-ups and all in his new comedic show Ghetto Klown. Youre sure to enjoy Leguizamos journey from the ghetto to a respected place as one of the most unique voices in American theater.
