Host Steve Barnes sits down with Kay Goss to discuss her book, Mr. Chairman: The Life and Legacy of Wilbur D. Mills. This biography chronicles the life of Wilbur D. Mills from Kensett, AR to the U.S. House of Representatives where he was chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee from 1958 - 1974. Goss met Wilbur Mills during her teaching tenure at the University of Arkansas. Doctoral studies in public administration at West Virginia University lead her to serve Congressman Ray Thorton, where she observed Mills and married his chief of staff, Gene Goss.
