Harris- Perry is host of "Melissa Harris-Perry" on MSNBC, an author, columnist, and professor of political science and founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Project on Gender, Race, and Politics in the South at Tulane University. She discusses stereotypes of women relating to her most recent book, "Sister Citizen: Shame, Stereotypes, and Black Women in America," as well as President Obama and Black America, post racialism and election 2012. This episode was taped in the Kendall Center at Philander Smith College in Little Rock during their "Bless the Mic" lecture series.
