Pear Crisp
Topping:
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup unbleached flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 tbsp. melted butter
Filling:
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- pinch of salt
- 6 firm-ripe pears
Preheat oven to 400°. Mix topping ingredients very well and set aside.
Mix filling ingredients except for the pears. Peel and coarsely chunk pears. Toss with filling mixture. Spray baking dish with vegetable spray. Place filling mixture in baking dish. Top with topping mixture. Bake about 25 to 30 minutes until topping is golden brown and pears are bubbling.
