Ozarks' Sky Swing, River Wading Bass, Arkansas River Kayak Fishing @Least Tern Sanct., Mt. Sequoyah
If you always wanted to swing to higher heights, then the sky swing at the Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca is the mega swing that'll satisfy any thrill seeker's needs. River wade fishing for bass is a technique that can be used on just about any stream reeling in successful results. Kayak fishing on the Arkansas River near a Least Tern sanctuary makes for a pleasant outing in catching fish and viewing the endangered birds. Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville is not only a popular sunset location, but also served as a strategic spot during the Civil War .

TRANSCRIPT

SO YOU THINK YOUR BACKYARD SWING IS AWESOME? WELL, CHECK THIS OUT. HOW ABOUT A SKY SWING IN THE OZARKS AND THIS ISN'T YOUR ORDINARY GRANDMA SWING.

AND WHAT WE MEAN BY NOT YOUR ORDINARY GRANDMA'S SWING. ANY SWING THAT YOU NEED TO BE STRAPPED IN AND HARNNESS IN YOU'RE PRETTY MUCH NOT JUST SWINGING.

YOU WANT TO HOLD ON BETWEEN THIS HERE AND THIS LITTLE ROPE.

OKAY.

AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BOTH CABLES AND DON'T GET YOUR FINGERS IN BETWEEN.

OKAY.

RIGHT HERE. ALL RIGHT. YOU'RE GOOD.

AND SO WE GO. THIS IS LIKE BEING LIFTED TO A GRAVITY DROP. BUT IF YOU LIKE SWINGSES THEN FROM WHAT I GATHER THIS IS THE ULTIMATE RIDE SO WE WILL SEE.

THIS IS WHAT YOU DO.

THE WAY IT WORKS A WENCH PULLS UP TO THE DESIRED HEIGHT WHILE HOLDING ON TO THE RELEASE ROPE AND WHILE READY GIVE THE COMMAND AND GO INTO A FREE FALL BEFORE THE INITIAL MOTION.

ONE, TWO, THREE SWING.

OH YEAH ! OH YEAH ! THAT IS AWESOME. WOW!

ONE, TWO, THREE SWING.

YEAH !

WHAT IS THE FEELING LIKE? KIND OF LIKE SPIDER-MAN SWINGING BETWEEN SKYSCRAPERS BUT HERE YOU'RE ABOVE THE BEAUTIFUL WILDERNESS.

THE VIEW IS AWESOME.

WELL, THE INITIAL FREE FALL IS PROBABLY THE MOST FUN THING I HAVE DONE TO TODAY.

HOW WOULD YOU COMPARE THIS TO LIKE OTHER THRILLS HERE, LIKE THE ZIP LINE? I GUESS IT'S LIKE ITS OWN ENTITY.

YEAH, I WOULD RATHER DO THE SWING AND THE FUN. LIKE I SAID THE FREE FALL AND YOU DON'T GET THAT ON THE ZIP LINE AND THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING.

HOW DOES THAT FEEL?

IT FEELS GOOD.

FIRST TIME I WAS A LITTLE BIT NERVOUS. I WENT ABOUT HALFWAY JUST TO KIND OF GET THE FEEL OF THE DROP BECAUSE I HEARD IT WAS INTENSE. IT WAS SO I WANTED MORE AND THE NEXT TIME I WENT TO THE TOP AND IT WAS A MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT TOP AND THAT MUCH MORE FUN AS WELL.

IT'S KIND OF THE SAME FEELING MAYBE MAGNIFIED HUNDRED TIMES THAT YOU REMEMBER AS A CHILD SWINGING.

IT IS. YOU GOT THAT SAME -- IT WORKS LIKE A SWING. THERE IS NO JERK. IT'S A SMOOTH SWING BUT A MUCH GREATER SCALE.

WELL, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT SWINGS THAT YOU CAN BUILD. WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THIS DESIGN BECAUSE IT KEEPS YOU IN LINE AND WHEN SWINGING OVER THE TREETOPS YOU GET TO MAXIMIZE YOUR VIEW OF THE VALLEY AND WE CAN GET PEOPLE PRETTY HIGH AND INCREASE THE G FORCE, THE WEIGHTLESS ON THE SWING MORE THAN OTHERS.

HOW WAS IT FOR YOU THE FIRST TIME.

WELL, I HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR ZIP LINES BUT SWINGS IS WHERE IT'S THIS IS THE HIGHEST ONE AND I LOVE IT AND IT'S A RULE I GOT AND IT DIDN'T DISAPPOINT ME AT ALL.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A REALLY GOOD RIDE. WHEN YOU GET UP THERE IT'S INTENSE, AND THE WIND COMING THROUGH YOUR FACE AND IT'S REALLY GOOD. I AM NOT GOING TO LIE. I WOULD GO ON IT AGAIN, A LOT MORE TIMES.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS PRETTY COOL. I MEAN I WOULD GO ON IT A COUPLE MORE TIMES, YOU KNOW, BUT WHEN YOU FIRST GO IT KNOCKS THE WIND OUT OF YOU, BUT IT'S PRETTY COOL. I WOULD GO ON IT AGAIN. YEAH, THAT WAS SWEET.

YEAH, THERE YOU GO GIRL.

SO WITH EVERYONE HAVING SUCH A GREAT TIME SWINGING OF COURSE JEFFREY JAMES HAD TO GET ON THE ACTION AS WELL.

MOST OF YOU PROBABLY HAVE FISHED FOR BASS IN A BOAT BUT WHAT ABOUT RIVER WADE FISHING FOR BASS. WE HOOKED UP WITH A BUDDY OF MINE AND SHANE GOODNER TO TRY OUR LUCK AT THESE BEAUTIES.

THIS WATER IS SO SHALLOW AND YOU CAN SEE FISH ACTUALLY SWIMMING. YOU CAN SEE BASS SWIMMING. YOU IF YOU LOOK HERE YOU CAN SEE BRIM AND WE'RE NOT INTERESTED IN THAT AND IF THERE ARE BASS THEY WON'T STAY IN THE SUNLIGHT. THEY WILL GO TO THE SHADE. LET'S MAKE A COUPLE OF CASTS AND I WILL SHOW YOU HOW I WANT YOU TO OPERATE THE WORM AND BEFORE THE DAY IS OVER YOU WILL BE A RIVER FISHERMAN. LOOK AT THAT BAIT AND MAKE SURE IT'S ALL RIGHT. POINT IT AT ME. THIS SHOULD BE GOOD. THERE YOU GO. THOSE FISH WILL GET OUT OF THE SUN. GOT HIM?

THERE YOU GO. HOLD THE TIP UP. ALL RIGHT. NOW --

REELING IN A SPOTTED BASS OR KENTUCKY BASS WAS GOING TO BE THE NORM FOR THE DAY.

TYPICAL RIVER FISH AND OBVIOUSLY THIS FISH ISN'T VERY BIG BUT THERE ARE THINGS THAT YOU CAN LOOK AT ON THE FISH TO IDENTIFY. ONE OF WHICH ON A SPOTTED BASS IS FIRST AND SECOND DORSAL FIN AND ON A BLACK BASS THIS IS SEPARATE FROM THE SECOND FIN. SECONDLY, THERE'S NICE UNFORM ROWS OF DARK SPOTS BELOW A DARK LATERAL LINE. THAT'S THE SECOND THING. CHARACTERISTIC NUMBER THREE WHEN YOU CLOSE THE MOUTH THE ACTUAL MOUTH DOESN'T EXTEND BACK PASS THE EYE AND SMALLER SMALL AND THOSE ARE THE THINGS YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE DIFFERENCE OF A LITTLE SPOTTED BASS AND A LARGE BASS. EASE AROUND THIS WAY.

ALONG WITH A PLASTIC WORM OUR OTHER BAIT OF CHOICE OF THE DAY WAS A BUZZ BAIT.

THAT HAS IT WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. ONE OF THE BEST BATES THAT YOU CAN THROW IN A RIVER SITUATION IS STRIKE KING, OR ONE OF THESE AND THEY'RE MADE TO RUN ON TOP OF THE WATER, AND OBVIOUSLY BY LOOKING AT IT YOU CAN SEE IT HAS A PROP ON IT AND THAT PROP BUZZES ON TOP. THAT'S IT RIGHT THERE. ONCE AGAIN GOT LOTS OF THIS AND WE'RE GOING TO BE DEALING WITH THAT, BUT THE POINT IS THIS BAIT LOOKS LIKE AN INJURED BAIT FISH THAT IS STRUGGLING ON TOP. SEE HOW EFFECTIVE THAT BAIT IS AND IT'S A REAL KEY BAIT TO USE IN THE SUMMERTIME IN A RIVER SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY A SHAWLO SYSTEM LIKE WE'RE FISHING TODAY. HERE'S A GOOD --

OH YEAH.

THAT'S A SMALL AMOUNT TOO I BELIEVE.

ACTUALLY UTILIZING THE BOAT, THE BUZZ BAIT ALONG WITH THE PLASTIC WORM WAS THE PLAN OF ACTION.

THE FISH WON'T HIT THE BUZZ BAIT WILL HIT THAT PLASTIC AND VICE VERSA AND INSTEAD OF FISHING AGAINST EACH OTHER AND BEAT EACH OTHER TO THE HOLES AND THAT IS NONSENSE BECAUSE WHEN YOU'RE FISHING YOU WORK TOGETHER AND CATCH FISH. THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE. HERE IS ANOTHER ONE AND CHUCK YOU CAN BET EVERY DIME YOU GOT AND THIS FISH SAW IT AND DIDN'T WANT IT AND THE REASON IT DIDN'T HIT IT AND JUST ANOTHER SMALL FISH. THAT IS THE KEY. WE WILL COME TO THE PLACES AND WHAT HITS ONE WILL NOT HIT THE OTHER AND VICE VERSA AND WE GET MAXIMUM PRODUCTIVITY AND IT WILL MAKE YOU LOOK GOOD AND ME. THERE HE IS.

HE WAS RIGHT.

NOT A BIG FISH BUT HE'S A FISH.

YEAH. THAT'S --

THAT'S A LITTLE BETTER FISH THERE. ONCE AGAIN THESE ARE OUR SPOTTED BASS BUT EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE THERE BECAUSE OF THE HEAT THEY'RE AS PRETTY AS CAN BE AND NOT A SPOT ON HIM. THAT'S ANOTHER COOL THING ABOUT RIVER FISH FOR A FISH TO GET 14 INCHES LIKE THAT ONE HE HAD TO LIVE YEAR FOR A FEW YEARS AND IT'S NOT AN EASY PLACE TO LIVE BECAUSE OF THE DROUGHT AND THE PREDATORS AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS THAT CAN EAT A FISH THAT SIZE. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. THAT IS THE DREADED GREEN SUN FISH. GOT HIM?

GOT SOMETHING.

YEAH. I THINK IT MAYBE A BRIM. HOLD HIM UP HERE AND I WILL GET HIM OFF. ANOTHER SUN FISH. ONE THING WE USED TO DO WHEN WE WERE KIDS BEFORE WE GRADUATED AND OF COURSE I'M A DEVOUT BASS FISHERMAN BUT THE TROUT ARE SUCH A FINE OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO RUN MY BUSINESS AND TOO GOOD TO PASS UP AND THAT'S THE WAY WE WERE. ALL RIVER FISHERMAN ARE FLEXIBLE AND WE ARE GOOD AT CATCHING DIFFERENT SPECIES OF FISH. THIS IS FULL OF DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF FISH AND FOUR OR FIVE DIFFERENT SPECIES OF BRIM, SO IT'S JUST TOO GOOD AN OPPORTUNITY TO PASS UP, SO DAVID GASTON WHO IS A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE GROUP AND THE OLDEST OF THE BUNCH AND WE DECIDED -- DAVID IN THE FIFTH GRADE WAS 200 POUNDS AND 6-FOOT TALL AND I WEIGHED A LITTLE OVER A HUNDRED AND WE DECIDED WHO WAS GOING TO BE THE BEST FISHERMAN WAS. HE SAID HE WAS AND I KNEW I WAS SO WE HAD A PROBLEM SO WE STARTED AT 6:00 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING AND FISHED FOR 14 HOURS NONSTOP AND SHE GOT 236 AND I GOT 233 AND A LOT OF THE FISH WERE THIS LONG BUT A LOT OF THE FISH WERE GOOD AND YOU THROW THE CRANK BAY AND YOU CATCH THEM BUT JUST WITH THE CATCHING ASPECT THE RIVER IS THE PLACE TO COME. THAT'S AN OLD SPOT THERE. YOU KNOW WHAT WE HAVE NOT CAUGHT TODAY? THAT'S A DECENT FISH. YOU KNOW WHAT WE HAVE NOT CAUGHT YET?

WHAT'S THAT?

JUST A REGULAR AMOUNT. THESE ARE SPOTTED BASS. NOT A MARK ON HIM AND HOLD HIM LIKE THIS AND PRESSURE ON THE BELLY AND HOW GUYS WILL LAND FISH IN A TOURNAMENT AND LAY ON THE SIDE OF THE BOAT. HAVE YOU SEEN THAT? AND YOU CAN'T REACH IN BECAUSE OF THE HOOKS AND COME UP UNDER AND HE WON'T MOVE AND PARALYZES HIM AND PULL HIM UP AND PUT HIM IN THE BOAT.

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT.

THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO FISHING THAN MEETS THE EYE. THAT FISH CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE LOG AND GRABBED IT.

AFTER ABOUT FOUR HOURS OF THIS JEFFREY JAMES COULDN'T STAND IT ANYMORE AND GAVE ME THE CAMERA AND LANDED ONE HIMSELF.

NOTHING BAD WITH THAT ONE. THERE YOU GO MR. JEFFREY JAMES. IT'S A DANDY.

I THOUGHT I DID. AFTER IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE WE ALL CAUGHT A TOTAL OF 40 FISH.

OH, THERE'S A SPOT FOR YOU RIGHT THERE.

MY GIRLFRIEND TOLD ME THAT VARIETY WAS THE SPICE OF LIFE. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID RIGHT BEFORE SHE LEFT ME. NOT REALLY.

WE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO AN AREA WHERE WE DID AN EARLIER SEGMENT ON "EXPLORING ARKANSAS", AN AREA WHERE THERE ARE MAND MADE SAN BARS AND BY PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN AND WHERE THE LEAST TERNS LAY THEIR EGGS AND NOT A BAD PLACE TO DO SOME KAYAK FISHING. BEFORE WE ACTUALLY GET INTO THE KAYAK FISHING PART OF THE TRIP FIRST ABOUT THESE LEAST TERNS. THEY ARE MIG TORY AND THE CAREEBIAN AND SOUTH AMERICA AND NESTING BEGINS BY MID-MAY AND COMPLETE BY MID-JUNE. THE NEST AND EEGS ARE SITUATED ON BARREN AREAS ON SANDY SURFACES AS TO CAMOUFLAGE THE EGGS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND IN FACT WHEN LOOKING AT THE NESTING SET DIRECTLY IT TAKES A WHILE TO REALIZE THERE ARE EGGS THERE. AND SO THANKS TO THE ARKANSAS GAME AND FISH COMMISSION THE ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERERS AND OTHER AGENCIES LEAST TERNS ARE MAKING A COMEBACK.

THIS IS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT, THE LEAST TERNS. YOU SAW THE EGGS. THIS WE'RE GOING TO BUILD MORE, YOU KNOW, THE CORP IS COMING UP ON A 12-FOOT DEPTH AND 10% OF THE RIVER AND THEY CAN DO THE SAME THING WITH THAT 10% THAT THEY DID HERE BRING IN MORE SANCTUARIES FOR BIRDS AND ANIMALS AND MY BIRDS ARE HERE NOW. THEY'RE HERE.

AND THE STUDY AND RESEARCH IS CONTINUING --

OH YES. OUT OF BOTECH, OUT OF RUSSELL, THE PEOPLE ARE COMING UP AND KEEPING A COUNT ON THAT. ALSO THE FEDERAL FISH AND WILDLIFE ARE DOING IT AND THE CORP OF ENGINEERSERS, THE ECOLOGICAL END ARE DOING IT SO WE'RE KEEPING UP. IT'S A GREAT THING. IT REALLY IS.

WALKING AROUND OVER HERE AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT YOU DON'T REALIZE IT THE EEGS BLEND RIGHT IN INTO THE GRAVEL. YOU CAN STEP ON THEM.

YEAH. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU. THIS IS THE REASON THEY'RE COMING UP HERE. THEY'RE GOING TO PUT SIGNS. THIS IS A TRUE BIRD SANCTUARY NOW AND I'M GOING TO ASK PEOPLE NOT TO COME UP HERE, AND THE REASON I BROUGHT YOU UP IS TO SHOW YOU WHY YOU DON'T WANT TO COME UP HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL STEP ON EEGS. YOU WILL STEP ON THE LITTLE EGGS AND IT'S NOT WORTH T WE HAVE THE SAND BARS AND YOU CAN GO THERE AND NOT MESS ANYTHING UP BUT THIS ISLAND IS PERFECT FOR THE LEAST TERNS.

AND PEOPLE CAN COME HERE LIKE WE DID IN KAYAKS TO DO FISHING.

YEAH, KAYAK FISHING IS FANTASTIC AND WHAT IS NEAT YOU DON'T NEED A $50,000 BOAT OR CAR OR TRUCK TO PULL IT AND RODS AND REALS. YOU CAN COME OUT WITH A COUPLE OF RODS AND REELS AND COST YOU ANYWHERE FROM $500 TO A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS AND HAVE A NICE FISHING KAYAK. DOWN IN LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, ALL ALONG THE GULF COAST THERE YOU KNOW WHAT RED FISH ARE. OKAY. THE RED FISH TOURNAMENTS EVEN HAVE A DIVISION FOR KAYAKS NOW AND MAYBE WE COULD DO THIS SAME THING LIKE FOR BASS FISHING AND IT BASICALLY IS GETTING MORE PEOPLE INVOLVED WITH WATER AND THE OUTDOORS AT A CHEAPER PRICE .

MOUNT SEQUOYAH OVER LOOKING FAYETTEVILLE IS QUITE THE POPULAR SUNSET OVER LOOK DESTINATION, BUT NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE REALIZE OR KNOW THE OTHER STORY TO THIS FAVORITE SPOT.

MOUNT SEQUOYAH IS LOCATED JUST OFF OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF FAYETTEVILLE OVER LOOKING THE TOWN AND THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS. IT WAS THUS A STRATEGIC SPOT DURING THE CIVIL WAR BY THE CONFEDERATES AND SHOOTING UNION FORCES BELOW AND A LOT OF THE FIGHTING TOOK PLACE ON THE HEADQUARTERS HOUSE AND SERVES BOTH SIDE OF THE ARE WA AND EARNED THE CORNER OF COLLEGE AND DICKSON THE TERM "BLOODY CORNER".

IN SPRING OF 1863 FORCES HAD TAKEN OVER BUT THE CONFEDERATE FORCES WANTED TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TAKE SOME OF THAT BACK, AND IN APRIL OF 1863 WILLIAM CABLE WHO WAS IN CHARGE A LARGE SECTION OF CONFEDERATE TROOPS, 900 TRIED TO ATTACK FAYETTEVILLE WHICH WAS A STRONG POINT FOR THE UNION AND THEY RODE OVER NIGHT TRYING TO GET HERE EARLY IN THE MORNING AND SURPRISE THE UNION AND HOPEFULLY CAPTURE THE SOUND WITHOUT HAVING A BATTLE. AS IT TURNED OUT AS THEY WERE COMING UP THE VALLEY AND GOT TO THE SOUTH SIDE OF FAYETTEVILLE THEY RAN INTO UNION PICKETS AND IT WAS EASY TO OVER TAKE THEM BUT THE SHOTS WOKE UP THE TROOPS AND 6:00 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING AND GAVE THEM TIME TO SCURRY AROUND AND GET THE ARMS AND SET BEFORE THE CONFEDERATES COULD CHARGE IN. CABLE HAD HIS TROOPS COME UP OVER HERE JUST EAST OF HEADQUARTERS HOUSE AND HE TOOK THE ALTILL AREA UP TO MOUNT SEQUOYAH AND FLY DOWN UPON THE UNION AND WHILE HE GOT THAT TOGETHER IT GAVE THE UNION TROOPS PREPARED TO SET WHERE THEY WANTED THAT THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO REALLY JUMP ON THE UNION TROOPS WITH THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE THAT THEY WANTED. THE FIGHTING BEGAN ABOUT 730 OR SO. CONFEDERATE FORCES MOVED OUT OF THE HALLOW AND ABLE TO TAKE A HOUSE HERE CALLED BAXTER HOUSE AND PART OF THE OLD COLLEGE WHICH WAS DESTROYED EARLIER IN THE WAR AND BAXTER HOUSE WAS STILL STANDING, A LOT OF PEOPLE IN IT. THE CONFEDERATES WERE ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF THAT AND WANTED HEADQUARTERS HOUSE AS WELL BUT THE TROOPS WERE ABLE TO HOLD ON IT AND THERE WAS FIGHTING ACROSS THE STREET, AND DICKSON STREET NOW WITHIN THE UNION AND THE CONFEDERATE FORCES.

AND THAT DAMAGE IS STILL ON -- WHAT USED TO BE THE FRONT DOOR.

RIGHT AND OTHER PARTS WERE DAMAGED BY GUNFIRE. THE DOOR ITSELF STILL HAS A BULLET HOLE AND THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY MAKE SURE THAT DOOR WAS BETTER PROTECTED MOVED IT TO AN INSIDE DOOR AND MOVED THAT TO TO BE THE FRONT DOOR.

THE CONFEDERATES WHO DIED IN THE BATTLE OF FAYETTEVILLE AND IN OTHER BATTLES AROUND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WERE LAID TO REST HERE IN THE CONFEDERATE CEMETERY NEAR MOUNT SEQUOYAH. UNION TROOPS, SOME 1600 WERE LAID TO REST AT THE FAYETTEVILLE NATIONAL CEMETERY ALONG WITH VETERANS OF OTHER WARS. IT IS ONE OF THE OLD EST IN THE SOUTH DESIGNATED BY PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN. THE STORY OF MOUNT SEQUOYAH DOESN'T END HERE. JUST WHO IS IT NAMED AFTER? MANY WANT TO BELIEVE IT STEMS FROM THE FAMOUS CHEROKEE HIMSELF AND KNOWN AS THE GREATEST CHEROKEE.

I HOPE WE COULD PROVE MOUNT SEQUOYAH WAS NAMED THAT BECAUSE WE BELIEVE HE WAS HERE, BUT WE CANNOT PROVE THAT, AND SO MOUNT SEQUOYAH GOT ITS NAME WHEN THEY NAMED THE STREETS. HE IS CALLED THE GREATEST CHEROKEE AND THEY NAMED THE SEQUOYAH TREES THAT IN CALIFORNIA AFTER HIM, AND HE DID SOMETHING THAT NO OTHER HUMAN HAD EVER DONE IN THE WORLD, AND THAT WAS HE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO READ OR WRITE, AND YET HE INVENTED A CHEROKEE ALPHABET OF ABOUT 84 LETTERS, SO IMAGINE THAT. HE WAS THE GREATEST.

IF YOU COME TO MOUNT SEQUOYAH YOU CAN ALSO EXPLORE THE NEARBY DESIGNATED WOODS AND NATURAL AREA AND HERE YOU CAN HIKE ALONG SEVERAL DECENT TRAILS, BUT BY ALL MEANS YOU HAVE TO STICK AROUND AND TAKE IN A SUNSET ATOP MOUNT SEQUOYAH. THAT IS A MUST. FOR MORE ON MOUNT SEQUOYAH AND MOUNT SEQUOYAH WOODS AND NATURAL AREA AND THE BATTLE AT FAYETTEVILLE CHECK OUT OUR NEW WEBSITE AND WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN THE NEXT TIME FOR ANOTHER EXCITING ADVENTURE ON "EXPLORING ARKANSAS".
