H. C. “Hank” Klein is the Founder and a Director of Arkansans Against Abusive Payday Lending, a Coalition of 40 Community, Consumer, Civic, Military and Faith Based organizations, dedicated to stopping the abuses to consumers by payday lenders in Arkansas. He is also a Leadership Volunteer for Predatory Lending for AARP/Arkansas and he additionally volunteers as a Docent at the Clinton Presidential Center and the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock.
Klein retired as the President/Chief Executive Officer of Arkansas Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in the state of Arkansas with $409 million in assets serving nearly 60,000 members. Over the past 38 years he has held management positions in credit unions serving the U.S. Air Force located in both Arkansas and Florida.
Klein has been involved in his local community as a past board member of the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Jacksonville Museum of Military History. He received the coveted Ethel Percy Andrus Award for Community Service in 2008.
