Will Social Security and Medicare be there for You?
"Will Social Security and Medicare be there for You?" discusses Social Security and Medicare and what the future holds. According to AARP Arkansas, over 600,000 Arkansans rely on Social Security and/or Medicare benefits. No state has a higher percent (63%) of older Americans relying on Social Security for 50% or more of their family income. The Social Security Administration recently announced a 3.6% benefit increase for 2012. This is the first cost-of-living adjustment since 2009. Additionally, Medicare is not only a concern for Seniors, but also to doctors, hospitals and other providers of health care.
