Arkansas Quiz Bowl State Finals

High school students will continue a state tradition as they return to showcase their intellect in the annual Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition on Saturday, April 23!

The state quiz bowl finals will involve seven conferences for a total of 14 teams featured in the “Arkansas Quiz Bowl 2016” broadcast. The special will broadcast in two parts: “Round One,” from 9 a.m. to noon and “Round Two,” from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

All games are broadcast from AETN, and scholarship funds will be awarded. The public is invited to be a part of the audience for the matches at AETN Studios in Conway, and attendees will be seated on a first come, first served basis. Audience members are asked to enter via AETN’s Sesame Street entrance and should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. for the first round and no later than 1 p.m. for the second.

The Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition has been a proud Natural State tradition since 1985. AETN is proud to celebrate and recognize Arkansas scholars and see them display their knowledge of literature, math, science, history, art, music and economics. Winning teams will earn the chance to represent Arkansas as they compete in national tournaments.
