“Ghosts, Blood and Zombies - A Student Selects Halloween”

Arkansas’s young filmmakers will be showing off their spooky sides in the first ever edition of “Ghosts, Blood and Zombies — A Student Selects Halloween” on Friday, Oct. 31, at 6:30 and 10 p.m. Start with the a milder first batch of films in our prime time showcase of family-friendly entries, then let horror fans stay up for the hour-long feature of terror-inducing submissions at 10 p.m. 

Chosen from past submissions to “Student Selects” — an annual event that showcases the works of talented and creative K-12 students throughout Arkansas — each film highlighted in our “Ghosts, Blood and Zombies” specials was entered by student filmmakers for possible broadcast and streaming on aetn.org. (Another bonus? Graduating seniors’ entries can be entered in the competition for Thea Foundation scholarships in screenwriting, directing, editing and cinematography.)

AETN supports, highlights and distributes young filmmakers handiwork in cooperation with the THEA Foundation, the Little Rock Film Festival, the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, the Arkansas Film Commission and the Arkansas Motion Picture Institute.
