As we count down to the premiere of “The Great American Read,” we’re excited to continue the celebration of reading in Arkansas at the Books in Bloom Literary Festival in Eureka Springs Sunday, May 20, from noon to 5 p.m.
We’re proud to be the guests of the Carroll and Madison Public Library Foundation for the outstanding celebration of the art of literature. The Books in Bloom Literary Festival highlights the connection between people who write books and the people who read them, bring renowned authors from across the country to speak and read from their works. Held at the 1886 Crescent Hotel, the festival will be held — rain or shine — in the hotel’s conservatory and among the gardens. AETN will be joining our partners from the Berryville Public Library at "The Great American Read" tent for information and materials about “The Great American Read,” including individual booklets featuring the 100 novels featured in the program.
In addition to preparing for “The Great American Read,” you’ll also have a unique opportunity to see a variety of authors, presentations, booksellers and signings. 2018 featured literary guests include: Lisa See, Marcus Sakey, Deborah Crombie, Lisa Wingate, Anita Paddock, Trenton Lee Stewart, Mohja Kahf, Martin Philip, Amanda McKinney, Kent Bonar, Michel Stone, Susan Ericksen and David Welky. Learn more about the authors and this free, public event at BooksinBloom.org.
