There's great stuff coming up for "Exploring Arkansas" in October! First off – for those of you who have a big hankering for more adventure – have we got a deal for you! In addition to Wednesday nights at 6:30 and most Sundays at 5 p.m., "Exploring Arkansas" will now air weeknights at 10 beginning Oct. 1. So you can explore until your heart’s content!

And, coming up in a brand new episode Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m., we’ll visit the newest state park facility in Wilson and take you back to the year 1400, when late Mississippian-period Native Americans occupied what is known as the Nodena site in Northeast Arkansas. Artifacts from that site are now in a state-of-the-art structure: the Hampson Archeological Museum.

Black Bass Lake

Black Bass Lake in Eureka Springs is a well-kept secret that most tourists aren’t aware of, yet it’s located smack-dab in the city limits! But, once you do find it, you’d think you’re in the middle of nowhere!

Tontitown Grape Festival Spaghetti Supper

The Tontitown Grape Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the state, going back to 1898 in celebration of the town’s Italian heritage. The famous spaghetti dinners that are served to the public during the festival are also still going strong “ ... and that’s a nice-ah meatball!”

Electric Island

Fantasy Island doesn’t have anything over Electric Island in Arkansas!  Electric Island Nature Preserve is a special oasis in the middle of Lake Hamilton south of Hot Springs. Once owned by the old Arkansas Power and Light company (hence the name Electric Island), it’s now owned by The Nature Conservancy and managed by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. It has a two-mile hiking loop, plenty of nature, old home sites and a park-like look to it – not to mention SOLITUDE.

So, check out this brand new episode of "Exploring Arknasas" Oct. 3, along with the new nightly airings weekdays at 10!
