AETN Foundation offers Don McLean tickets

CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) — Tickets to Don McLean’s performance Saturday, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock are now available exclusively from the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Foundation. McLean, legendary singer-songwriter, is best known for his 1971 classic “American Pie” – voted No. 5 in the “Songs of the Century” list compiled by the Recording Industry Association of America and National Endowment for the Arts. The elegiac piece, inspired by the tragic death of Buddy Holly, created a lasting a pop culture phenomenon. In the years that followed, McLean’s career was supported by a variety of enduring folk music hits, including “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Crying” and “Castles in the Air.” Now a member of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, McLean remains a consummate performer and has earned more than 40 gold and platinum records worldwide. The AETN Foundation is the exclusive outlet for Don McLean tickets, which range from $50 to $100. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. This concert is a fundraiser for the AETN Foundation, and all proceeds will support programming on AETN, Arkansas's PBS affiliate and only statewide public service media network. Prior to the event, viewers may also enjoy the singer’s performance in “Don McLean – American Troubadour,” Thursday, Aug. 8, at 8:30 p.m. on AETN.
