“Student Selects Young Filmmakers Showcase” 2019

With entries from talented young filmmakers from across the state, choosing a select few for recognition, screening, Arkansas Historic Place Film Prizes and more is no simple task. After a great deal of viewing impressive films and much deliberation, we’re proud to recognize our winning students Monday, May 13, at the Student Selects Young Filmmakers Showcase.

Join us for an opportunity to watch these outstanding films yourself at the CALS Ron Robinson Theater at 6 p.m.

Featured films will include:

  • “Georgie,” produced by Har-Ber High School, Springdale.
  • “All in My Head,” produced by Fayetteville High School.
  • “The Missing Cake,” produced by Lakeside Intermediate, Hot Springs.
  • “Apple Juice,” produced by Springdale High School.
  • “Ozark Regional Transit,” produced by Springdale District TV.
  • “Ordained to Train,” produced by Lakeside High School, Hot Springs.
  • “Let Me Go,” produced by Lakeside High School, Hot Springs.
  • “Kill Me Movie Trailer,” produced by Rogers Heritage High School.
  • “Stalker,” produced by Fayetteville High School.
  • “Unburnt,” produced by Lakeside High School, Hot Springs.
  • “Fixing the Ford,” produced by Little Rock Central High School.
  • “Stamp Out Smoking,” produced by Springdale District TV.
  • Be sure to keep an eye out this fall for the broadcast of “Student Selects: A Young Filmmakers Showcase” and at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival for a special Student Selects screening of winning documentary films.
