In the past several weeks we’ve had great fun reading and sorting wonderful and hilarious stories from more than 200 K-3 students across Arkansas. Now, after scoring, debating … and even a few tie-breakers, we’re ready to announce the 2014 AETN PBS KIDS Writers Contest winners!

Each story entered in the 2014 AETN PBS contest was judged on originality, creative expression, storytelling and integration of test and illustrations. As you read through them, you’ll see just how difficult our judges’ jobs were!

But this isn’t the very end of the contest - all of our first place Arkansas winners have been entered in the national PBS KIDS Writers Contest where they will compete against other state and area winners from across the country. Fingers crossed that we’ll see some of these great Arkansas stories in the announcement of the national winners in July!
