AETN Chief Engineer

Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), the PBS system serving Arkansas seeks an engineering professional to manage a technical staff performing routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all network equipment and systems.

Minimum qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years’ vocational or military training in audio / video / information technology systems; plus six years’ experience in electronics repair and maintenance, including two years’ previous experience working as a chief engineer at a full power broadcast radio or television station. Qualified candidate must have knowledge of digital audio and video equipment including server based program stream origination systems, a valid driver’s license, and an FCC General Class license. Background check required.

AETN Educational Television Division Director

The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) seeks an individual to work with the Education Assistant to the Director. Duties include: managing a large staff of technical and professional employees, developing methods of utilizing television technology, budgeting, oversee production of instructional television programs, hiring, personnel issues, procurement, and technical expertise.

Minimum Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in educational media, or a related field; plus five years’ experience in the field of education or instructional television, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Background check is required.

AETN ETV Program Department Supervisor

Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) seeks an ETV Program Department Supervisor to create, develop and administer daily operational broadcast materials, oversee administrative duties, maintain master videotape library and database, and supervise staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in radio, television, communications, journalism, or a related field; plus three years’ experience in broadcasting. Excellent computer and marketing skills, and one year supervisory experience desired. Background Check Required.

AETN Transmitter Supervisor (ETV Broadcast Specialist I)

The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) seeks a full time transmitter supervisor to monitor the daily operation of our television transmitter site in Winslow, Arkansas. Duties include: HVAC, AC power, plumbing, piping and mechanical systems; tests tower obstruction systems and reports outages to FAA and station personnel; assists manufacturer personnel as necessary during new projects; performs minor building and grounds repairs as necessary.

This position requires the ability to act independently trouble shooting and repairing problems to the component level. A valid drivers license is required. Preferred qualifications: Two years post high school education or military experience in electronics or computer science; plus five years’ documented experience as an RF maintenance technician. After hours and emergency service duty is required. Background check required. This position is based in WINSLOW, AR.
