Digital Learning Day With AETN and the ADE - Rescheduled for May 21

Posted on 19 Feb 2014

Technology is incredibly important in today's education and job markets and, to draw attention to its critical role, we are proud to join the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and educators across the state in celebrating Digital Learning Day on Wednesday, May 21.

On a national level, this special day's event was celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 5, with feature online demonstrations, interactive lesson plans and a wide variety of presentations. From exciting videos and expert blog posts to webinars and online planning workshops, educators can still find a wealth of wonderful materials at: www.digitallearningday.org.

Meanwhile, due to inclement weather, the local celebrations have been rescheduled out of concern for our participants' safety. We're excited to partner with the ADE to launch the Arkansas Digital Learning Event - which features Arkansas schools, tools, resources and job-related information - on Wednesday, May 21. Arkansas Educators are encouraged to join the live streaming event at 9 a.m. that morning at http://flash.aetn.org/ideas_live.html. We look forward to answering your questions and hearing your thoughts in the live chat forum!

Looking for other fun ways to join the celebration? You can:

Use the #ARDLDay hashtag on Twitter and Instagram to post photos or links to digital learning in action in your schools.

Email ade.dld@arkansas.gov to contribute videos, documents and more to showcase your digital learning activities. Your submission could be included in the ADE's DLD Showcase on iTunes U! (Learn more about the submission process here.)

Post your own events to the national Digital Learning Day map!
