Posted on 13 May 2014

After reviewing many wonderful entries, AETN and the Thea Foundation are proud to announce the 2014 Student Selects film scholarship winners!

Scriptwriting — Damon McKinnis, Pulaski Academy, “Planting Trees”
Directing — Conner Leech, Bentonville High School, “Consequences”
Cinematography — Whitney Butler, Bryant High School, “Isolated”
Editing — Dylan Rohr, Searcy High School, “Searcy Plant Closings”

Winning students will each receive $2,500 in tuition toward the college of their choice and all will screen their films at the Little Rock Film Festival on Thursday, May 15, beginning at 10 a.m., in the Central Arkansas Library System’s Ron Robinson Theater. The Thea Foundation will present the winners with their scholarships immediately after the screening.

Everyone is invited to join us to view these outstanding films and celebrate the talented young filmmakers who created them. We’re thrilled to congratulate these students and all of the gifted filmmakers who participated in this year’s Student Selects competition! We know that you everyone put hard work into their films. We really enjoyed watching them all!
