AETN and PBS KIDS kicks off Writers contest for K-3 - enter today!

PBS Kids GO Writers Contest 

AETN and PBS KIDS GO! have kicked off the 2013 PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest in an effort to continue to encourage young children in Grades K-3 across the country to illustrate and write their own stories. Enter the Arkansas contest AND the national contest today!   


HOW TO ENTER

Arkansas students may submit stories by mail to AETN now until Friday, April 5. Local winners will be finalized in April and sent to PBS KIDS GO! to be entered in the national contest where a panel of esteemed judges will rank the top 12 entries. National winners will be announced this summer and featured on pbskids.org/writerscontest. Click here to download Contest Entry Form.

Each participant will receive a certificate, local winners will receive prize packs from AETN and national winners will receive prizes including tablets, e-readers and MP3 players.

CREATIVE WRITING RESOURCES

Story ideas, activity sheets, along with the previous winner entries are available on the Contest website to inspire children during the brainstorming process. PBS LearningMedia is also offering a collection of online teacher resources for us in classrooms nationwide.
