AETN ArkansasIDEAS STEM site now live!

Posted on 02 Dec 2013

As part of our continued commitment to the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and our educators and administrators across the state, we've created a specialized website to support Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Created in partnership with the ADE and Teacher Created Materials (TCM), www.ideas.aetn.org/stem is designed to give Arkansas educators direct assistance with an evidence-based program that provides practical, standards-based teaching strategies for the seven STEM foundations.

We know that all educators are working to adapt to new teaching criteria quickly, and to make that process easier, the ArkansasIDEAS STEM site features a two-part video strategy session.

With an emphasis on student-motivated learning and exploration, these videos start with an instructional session followed by a practical demonstration filmed in Arkansas classrooms. All of the lesson's associated materials - including detailed lesson plans - are provided on the website, so that teachers have immediate access to everything needed to carry out the STEM foundation's objectives.

We're happy to invite our hardworking educators across Arkansas to see the STEM site for themselves and learn more about the video sessions offerings at: www.ideas.aetn.org/stem.
