New PBS KIDS “Double Your Fun” Summer Lineup

Posted on 07 May 2014

Starting Monday, June 2, AETN and PBS are introducing a new summer kids’ line-up! Why the change? During the summer, national data shows that we have more kids ages 4-8 watching with us, and we all want our programs to appeal to that audience!

To make programming more fun for these kiddos and to address summer learning needs, some of our current PBS KIDS programming will move to AETN-3 while back-to-back episodes of shows like “Curious George,” “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” “Dinosaur Train,” “Arthur” and “Wild Kratts” air instead.

Compare our current schedule with the summer schedule (June 2 — August 31) below:

So, what other summer fun is there to look forward to? The summer programming block will also feature three great summer learning themes!

In June, tune in for our “Double the Fun” promotions as we all settle into the new schedule.

Next, we’ll feature two rounds of special “Wild Kratts” programming — “Back in Creature Time” and “Swamp Things” — during the month of July.

And, last but not least, during the month of August, we’ll air brand-new “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” and “Dinosaur Train” specials. They’re events that aren’t to be missed!

Keep an eye on the AETN Engage blog for more info and special episode descriptions. (Also, don’t forget that you can always find our latest schedule updates at aetn.org/schedule.) We can’t wait to share all of the details with you!
