Will Social Security and Medicare be there for you?

According to AARP Arkansas, more than 600,000 Arkansans rely on Social Security and/or Medicare benefits. No state has a higher percentage--63 percent-- of older Americans relying on Social Security for 50 percent or more of their family income.
The Social Security Administration recently announced a 3.6 percent benefit increase for 2012 and is the first COLA since 2009. Medicare is not only a concern for seniors, but also for doctors, hospitals and other health care providers.
