PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest open for K-3rd grade
Building on the success of the 15-year Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest, the PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest was launched last year in an effort to continue to encourage young children in Grades K-3 across the country to illustrate and write their own stories.
“Martha Speaks” season premiere Monday with Mad Men?
Martha Speaks kicks off its fourth season on Monday, February 20 with an action-packed two-part episode guest starring real-life Hollywood coupleJon Hamm (Mad Men) and Jennifer Westfeldt (Friends with Kids) - and their real-life dog, Cora. Tune in Monday at 6:30 a.m. or at 2:30 p.m. Part I features a a case of mistaken identity and Part II has Martha meeting circus dogs who look just like Cora.
Cat in the Hat events in Arkansas, March 2 marathon
Tune into AETN for the Cat in the Hat-A-Thon, a two-hour event premiering on PBS KIDS March 2. AETN will host screenings of “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!” and a visit from the Cat costume character in Little Rock, El Dorado and Jonesboro Feb. 20-24. The Cat in the Hat-A-Thon celebrates the National Education Association’s Read Across America initiative to celebrate reading.
